Vitality Elixir

$14.00
Vitality Elixir is 100% Organic made from hand-selected herbs to recharge your body and improve reaction to stress, physical exertion and increase energy levels. Bearberry Essential's proprietary blend of extracts of Barberry Root, Holy Basil, Bilberries, Ginkgo biloba, Hawthorne Berries, Horse Chestnut, Milk Thistle, and Nettle leaf is designed to help your body help itself.

Ginkgo Biloba is one of the most extensively researched plants on the planet and one of the oldest surviving tree species on earth.  This ancient herb increases blood flow to the brain, enhances long distance vision, improves memory and increases uptake of glucose by the brain cells.

Barberry has been used for over 2,500 years for its medicinal properties. Barberry contains berberine. Why is berberine so important? It’s been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria in test tubes and can actually help the immune system to function better.

Holy Basil, a herb native to India is regarded as one of the most important plants used in Ayurvedic medicine.  It has excellent antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, adaptogenic (improves the body’s ability to adapt to stress) and immune-enhancing properties. It promotes general health and supports the body's natural defense against stress and illness.

Bilberry is rich in antioxidants.  The beneficial activity of Bilberry is mainly due to components called anthocyanins, according to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Anthocyanins have anti-inflammatory properties and protective effects on blood vessels. The herbal extract also has antioxidant properties, and they scavenge free radicals, harmful substances in the body that can cause cell damage and disease.

Hawthorne is the best-known herb for the heart in western herbalism.  The extract of hawthorn can increase blood flow to the heart muscle itself.  It has been shown to improve the contractility of the heart muscle,  increase cardiac performance and output, lower the peripheral vascular resistance, steady the heartbeat, as well as increasing the heart’s tolerance to oxygen deficiency, such as might happen during stress or excitement, or in diseases where the arteries are partially blocked.

Horse Chestnut extract is best known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which may be why it is so often used to relieve sprains, as well as rheumatic, and arthritic aches and pains.   Horse chestnut tinctures have also been found to be comparable to Vitamin E and vitamin C in its ability to provide antioxidant properties.

Milk thistle is a herb that’s been used for thousands of years to support liver, kidney, and gall bladder health.1 It contains the flavonoid silymarin, which is thought to be responsible for many of its beneficial effects, including liver protection and antioxidant, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory properties. Milk Thistle is an anti-fibrotic, which means it prevents tissue scarring, and it’s thought to act as a “toxin blockade agent” by inhibiting the binding of toxins to liver cell membrane receptors.

Nettle is used to help a number of ailments. Studies have shown stinging nettle has antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiulcer, astringent and analgesic capabilities. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, the plant has been used most commonly throughout history as a diuretic and for treating painful muscles and joints, eczema, arthritis, gout, and anemia. Today, it’s used primarily to treat urinary issues, as well as allergies and joint pain.

Suggested Use:
