History: Saw Palmetto is a small palm tree native to the southeastern United States, whose fruit was used as a dietary staple for Native Americans for thousands of years. In general, palm trees contain powerfully strengthening compounds, making it ideal for its use as a medical herb. Native American Indians used Saw Palmetto to increase manliness and to boost the health of those who were ill. The Seminole Indians used Saw palmetto to aid in relieving urinary, digestive,and dysentery issues.
Uses: Enlarged prostate, prostate infections, prostate cancer, colds and coughs, sore throat, asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic pelvic pain syndrome, and migraine headache.
